Typing GIF for Notion
Add a focused animated headline or process cue to a Notion page. Match light and dark page modes, keep the file small, and export a GIF that loads with the page.
Recommended starting point
Wide, shallow canvas · transparent or paper background
- Match light and dark page modes carefully.
- Keep the file small for quick loading.
- Use one animation per section.
Two page modes, one animation
Notion pages switch between light and dark. A GIF with a baked-in white background becomes a bright rectangle in dark mode, so decide between a transparent export and two separate versions before you upload anything.

A page full of moving headers is unreadable. Use the animation where the eye should land first and leave the rest of the page still, otherwise the motion stops signalling anything at all.
Keep the file light
Notion loads embedded media along with the page. A heavy GIF delays the text around it, which is the part people actually came to read, and the delay is worst on the slow connections that need the page most.
